Clayton, a professor of jazz at U.C.L.A. under Kenny Burrell, has toured or recorded with many mega stars including Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr., Sting, Billy Joel and many more. He is best known for his long-time association touring and recording with Tony Bennett on 15 albums, many of which received Grammy Awards. As a consummate teacher, his groundbreaking book and CD on the elusive art of brushes is considered the definitive reference book on the art form.
